Aokigahara

Aokigahara in Japan is also known as "Suicide Forest", mainly because some people come here to commit suicide. The forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently. Every year, there are about 100 dead bodies found in this forest. Some come in and never return. Others put tapes on the trees so they will know their way out in case they change their minds in committing suicide.

Japan has the highest suicide rate. Before, people commit suicide for a reason. For example the Samurais who commits hariki. There are also some poor people who used to leave their elders in the forest to die. The suicide phenomenon in this forest started after the novel Kuroi Jukai was published, in which a young lover committed suicide.

Aokigahara also known as Jukai "sea of trees" is a huge park. While some areas are open for public, some are closed because it is easy to get lost.  Some photos of this video shows people hanging themselves on the trees, this is not safe for your children or young siblings to watch.

Life is full of mysteries and it is a mystery for me why some people wanted to end their lives the easiest way. I mean, always something good come out from something difficult. Life is just so wonderful to live and see how it ends.
