Growing up with the influence of a compulsive shopper mother, I see myself becoming her everyday. I must say that it is both a good and a bad thing. The best thing about my mom is that she is very forgiving, affectionate and strong, and just like my mom, I love shopping and collecting things. When my mom loves a specific design, she buys it in at least 6 different colors. If you could just imagine what her room(which I am sharing with) looks like now. She loves to hoard things too, which, thank God, I did not inherit from her. Things I love to collect are bags, wallets and shoes. They don't have to be branded and expensive to be a favorite. I am more ecstatic on thrifted buys. Right now, I've been obsessing these bags from Rootote.

I will try making bags like these. I was very happy with my first ever diaper bag.
The background of this photo is my mother's living room that turned out to be her personal space. I feel sorry for those vintage furnitures. Our house has 2 living rooms, 3 if you count the 2nd floor living room that turned out to be my dad's personal space too. I say personal space because they are bringing out their personal stuffs such as, lotion, powder, cologne, my dad's master eskinol. etc. It is really hard disciplining parents.

ReplyDeletei almost got one but figured they cost to much here. and the designs are too limited! i ALMOST got grace to bring me one back from japan last year. hahaha
too bad i didn't get one while i was there. so i'm looking forward to a very vague trip to japan sometime in the not so near future so i could finally get me one of their bags!
Which is cheaper? Here or there? Those things cost here at least 1,500 in Manila. How much is it in Japan if converted to peso?
