To Bohol And Back

I was in Bohol again last weekend with 2 of my best friends. It was Soliel's first time to travel outside Cebu except Manila. It's been 1 year and 2 months since the last time I was in Bohol. I noticed some changes. Whatever happened to the warm smiles and the "City Of Friendship"?

The moment we got in Island City Mall, Soliel and I went straight to Prawn Farm because we were starving to death and the time we got there, people scrutinized us from head to foot, but still we ate and whenever we say thank you to our waiters, they never say "you're welcome" like it's the hardest word to say back. I think they need more customer service training because that is very important to business.

We had pork Sinigang and Sizzling Squid. Soliel loves this picture. I don't know why she kept looking at it.

This is Soliel and her favorite soup. I'd like to call her "The girl who loves to smile".

And we thought that we would only experience the scrutiny at the Prawn Farm, but when we went out and checked out the mall to do a little shopping, people still stare at us.

Me: Do I have dirt on my face?
Sol: No, maybe we look like tourists.
Me: Must be my Espadrille. They don't wear it much here.

So we started to ignore these people and the store employees who never say "Thank you or You're welcome".

My favorite part of the trip was at the Bohol Bee Farm. We ate their Malunggay ice cream, it is the best ice cream I've ever had! I kept saying, "I'm getting married again here." I found the best place to copy that Kate Moss theme.

Then we went to Dumaluan so Soliel can write our names on the sand, then went straight to Loboc for the floating restaurant. I didn't like the entrance fee which is Php 100.00, The unlimited food was Php 300.00. The tarsiers on the river side are no longer there, which used to be one of the main attraction. The tribe is no longer there as well. You won't see the natives dancing, drumming and doing some exhibition anymore.

After Loboc, we went straight ahead to Chocolate hills which takes 30 minutes drive from Loboc.

We had a great time except for Sarah who was scolded by the boyfriend for choosing the beach and friends over church. I feel sorry for Sarah. Overall, the trip was fun!
