My family are pet lovers we have a lot of animals living in our house. Last February 3, 2013, our family welcomed the newest member of our nest, meet Princess Ponyo Patootie. I’d like to explain the long name first like I always do when I give something/someone a long name. I prefer calling her Ponyo.
When we had Ponyo, I had no idea what to call her. What I had in mind were: Perth, Jewel, Amanita, Cookie. Obviously from those names you can tell that she is a girl. But everyone likes to call her differently.
Princess was a name suggested by my eldest son, Migue.
Patootie is something I googled for something that means pretty or a girl.
And Ponyo is the name of our favorite Studio Ghibli Japanese Anime.

I bought her from an online seller who was a nurse in profession. Ponyo is an Algerian hedgehog and is 2 months old, born on November 26, 2012.
Ponyo is a little shy and would still hiss at me if I wake her up in the morning and attempt to carry her. I just get too excited to bond with her. She’s alright in the evening or when she’s already awake. She poops on us if we hold her too long. We are taking things nice and slow.
