Every year, Cebu celebrates the Sinulog Festival, commemorating our pagan origin and acceptance of Roman Catholicism in our island. It is the biggest event in Cebu and people all over the world come to this event. There’s a parade, street dancing and crazy street partying that only happens every 3rd Sunday of January.
We started off walking in the busy streets of Ayala until it got worst in Mango Ave., where it’s almost impossible to continue walking and battling the crowds of people. What’s worst, some people even brought their little kids with them. I almost fainted because of little air coming through.
Here’s a picture of us in the streets, we ended up in the hospital because my friend had deep cuts on her feet due to broken bottles of beer. Her cuts were sutured. The woman on the picture with a F*** you finger is not me.
Rule No. 1: Only wear closed shoes when going out in the streets.
Rule No. 2: Be careful not to pick a fight. You don’t want the street to rain broken beer bottles.
Rule No. 3: Enjoy the party!
