This is a tried and tested method. This could depend per person perhaps. This one works for me. When you are about to cry and you are in public, save yourself from shame and for being called a drama queen. Here are easy steps.
1. Read something.
2. After reading, spell it without looking on the word.
3. Spell it backwards.
4. Read it backwards.
Repeat steps until you get home and cry your heart out. Or try thinking of difficult words. Never cry in public.
