I was up by 4am this morning and the first thing I usually do when I'm up early is turn the PC on and read the post of my favorite people. I begin to understand that the reason I admire them is because they are something that I am not.
A bit of envy flooded my thoughts. I then realized that if only I had a goal when I was younger, I could have lived a better life. I'm 24 now and I'm starting to panic because I don't have the degree to be proud of yet. I work in a call center which is not my idea of a good life or every girl's dream job. I am still grateful for what the good Lord has given me, at least the pay buys food and goods.
I envy teens these days. They are more influenced. They have high speed internet, cellphones come cheap, and they are more socialized, thus giving them better goals and inspirations. I know internet have bad influences as well but lets focus on the good things shall we?
When it comes to fashion they are so updated and they dress well these days. When we were in high school we buy magazines to get the new trend and I am not much of a kikay back then. When we were in college, I still wasn't kikay. I go to school with jeans, chuck, and t-shirts.
Now I am a proud mom of two smart boys and more matured than girls my age. They envy me for being stabled, I envy them for being worry free. When you have kids, you have more responsibilities, more worries. When Ernel and I go out, we always think of our boys. Although they are in very good hands, we can't stop thinking if they had eaten, if they are having fun. I also don't think my life is better without them. They are our inspirations and we want to be better parents for them.
I hope my nieces and nephews will live a better life than I had. I wish them to enjoy every time and moment because they will be missed. I hope they will be ready when the time comes they have to settle down and make a family of their own. I love you so much guys! You little rascals!
