Books

I was tagged by Alfreaka about this book thing. i was never into books until high school. I think I am more of a collector than a reader up to now. I love movies and I wish this is what it's about instead. But at some time I had realized, some books are better than their movies. The first time I realized this was when I finished reading 'Harry Potter (The Sorcerer's Stone)'. My imagination was a lot better than the movie. I think it's only 'Memoirs Of A Geisha' which I think the movie was better than the book. Also, Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic Series disappointed me and most of all, the Confessions of A Shopaholic movie. The title sounds good but got me very disappointed. A waste of my time.

Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you've read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes. Tag 15 friends.

1. Little Red Riding Hood

- The first book my mommy read me and bought me when I was 6, which I accidentally donated to the school’s mini library when I was in kindergarten. That’s what happens when you don’t pay attention in class. I tried swapping it but “teacher” won’t allow.

1.5 The Holy Bible

- I am not religious but I love reading the Bible and I am not embarrassed to admit that. I named my son after my favorite book which is “Matthew” means “God’s gift” and “Genesis” meaning “first”. Matthew Genesis. A.K.A Migue, Miguelito, Buchikoy.

2. The Happy Prince and other short stories – Oscar Wilde

- also one of the first books mommy gave me. First time I learned about poverty.

2.5 Encyclopedias and Encyclopedias For Kids

- We don’t have internet back when I was in high school and grade school. Encyclopedias were very useful. I love the smell of old books.

3. Harry Potter (The Sorcerer’s Stone) – J.K Rowling

- first fiction novel I finished reading in a day. I was not in to books until high school

9. Java Programming – D.S Malik

- Nose bleed. But I love this book better than other java books. Much easier to understand and less nose bleed.

10. Ang Paboritong Libro Ni Hudas – Bob Ong

- I was interested on the black cover. Good thing I was not disappointed.

11.Tell Me Your Dreams – Sidney Sheldon

- I like it coz it was something new to me. Had enough with the love story.

12. Twelfth Night – William Shakespeare

- It was funny and it was the book my friend Josef forgot to return to the library. As for his punishment he was asked to pay the interest. 1 peso for each day he forgets. He didn’t pay but bought a new copy instead and gave the library’s original book to me.
