For the first time this week i decided to be early last Wednesday. I have been late everyday since July. I knew I'll be in trouble. But I no longer feel comfortable working since July. Don't know why. Weird feeling.
I had my breakfast at Bigfoot. A cup of coffee and two ciggies, that was all. Was thinking of the bad news announced last Tuesday while puffing on my ciggie and sipping my hot coffee. Bigfoot is "downsizing". I knew I'm one of the best candidates. I was ready.
Then we had a department meeting in the afternoon and the bad news came. Two will be leaving. "ooh i'm so ready for this" I thought. Thirty minutes after the meeting, I was summoned by David to go to HR. ten tededeng!
So there, I'm gone. It was funny actually. Two weeks ago I dreamed of having my Clearance signed, then I got stuck because one intern wouldn't sign. (Interns are not suppose to sign, only administrators) Then my dad also mentioned "kana sige nimu ka late, ikaw jud ang una ma tang tang kung mag down size inyung companiya." Another sign.
I came to Bigfoot a year and three months ago to apply as "Front Desk Person" (sucky job I know) I was applying for the sake of not getting bored at home. As long as the job is within Mactan island I was up for it. The interview was initialized by Goldie. She thought since I'm an Associate in Computer Science graduate, I should be in IT department. She asked if I think it's okay. I think it's GREAT! Then I was interviewed by Tristan for ICT Coordinator job but he noticed I didn't understand when he tried explaining about it, he decided to offer me the QA position. That's how it all started.
I will miss the beach front. I will miss the view of the sea. I will miss the scent of Bigfoot. I will miss the fish tank sound of Tristan's skype. I will miss "the privilege". I will miss my department for they are the coolest people to work with. I will miss the idiots. I will miss the good times. I will miss the nights when I was working there. I'm gonna miss everyone! I had so much fun working. Hurts leaving but also glad because I can start moving on. Life's like that. Always been that. No hard feelings.
